Unique and fascinating world of tree arts continues with my journey with the women of Fresh Start Frankfort (FSF) residents. These women have been working with me on “The Triangle: You Me Tree art project 2” sponsored by the Kentucky Foundation for Women.
It is an art project geared toward helping women transition to a fresh start as they emulate trees’ unlimited powers and varied perspectives.
You will discover how, although we all come from different cultures that, we are same in looking at trees and sharing their inspirations with love, joy and wonderment. You will see surprises of different perspective that could be derived from one perspective. You will also see how participants have interpreted the beauty of trees, how they have experimented with texture, form, and color, and how they have explored the deeper spiritual meanings of these ancient beings
Beautiful As you are
Lucy’s tree art is an eye opening. I was exposed to your work at a young age, so it opened my eyes to see beyond the obvious. To see the profile of a woman wearing gele in scratched paint. To see the face of a puppy in a flower. To see the lopsided smile in cracked cement. And to see the elephant trunk on the trunk of a tree. That every single line, scratch is a piece of art if only you are willing to adjust your perspective. This has gone even further to apply in real life. Looking beyond the "obvious". Whatever way a period may seem, there's more coming out from it. Much more. .. Chinenye Okoyeuzu 2019
